The Anchor Boys are for Boys in Primary 1 to 3 at school and meet in the church hall on a Thursday nights from 6:15 to 7:30pm. Please note Boys need to be aged five to join.
Fun is the main emphasis for our meeting nights with lots of games being played, craft sessions, music, colouring in, and more.
The Anchor Boys are recognised by their distinctive uniform - a red sweatshirt with the Boys' Brigade anchor on it.
We work to a recently revised programme, split into five sections Body, Mind, Spiritual, Community and creativity. At the end of the year, on completion of the years programme, the Boy is awarded a badge to be worn on his uniform to mark his achievement.
The three Anchor Boy badges each Boy could obtain is Green, Red and Blue.
Throughout the Anchor Boy year, we have theme nights where the night is devoted to a particular topic, examples of these is an Egyptian night and a Caribbean night.
As well, as the above, the Anchor Boys hold their own Christmas Party, go on special trips and join in with other Anchor Boy sections in our area for a games afternoon.
