The Boys' Brigade has it's own emblem, the Anchor with the motto "Sure and Steadfast" embossed on it.
We aim to help Boys throughout their time with us understand more about Jesus and Spirituality, develop their skills such as body, mind, creativity, community and leadership, all set in a fun, yet well behaved environment.
What we do
Our Company, the 4th Ayr, comprises of the following sections.
Anchor Boys -
Junior Section -
Company Section -
We offer a varied programme throughout the year where the Boys work towards their badges awarded to them at our annual display at the end of the session.
The achievement Scheme is split into five sections, Body, Mind, Spiritual, community and Creativity. Our programme is organised so that there is plenty of opportunity to complete each section throughout the year and so there is never any problem caused to a Boy missing a meeting night or two.
The Junior Section work towards their own programme and is designed to help them gain new interests and ideas. There is also the opportunity to take part in competitions against other Companies in subjects such as football, bible knowledge, mime, safety, physical, figure marching and others. There is also the camps to look forward to, both camping indoors, and outdoors in tents.
We are always looking for new members, please feel free to phone Kenny Neill on (01292) 262482 or 07917355766, or come along prior to the start of one of our meeting nights.
If your Boy is not yet aged 5, please still enquire now about Anchor Boys and we will make contact with you when your son is at age to join.
